Back on blogging...

I know... We've been gone forever. But, it's been a crazy, crazy busy time!

Since the last post... Tristan went to daycare full time (so I can work full time AND sleep... I know, what a whimp I am!) and loved it! Some days it was hard getting him away... we listed our home (for sale) AND sold it (whoop whoop!) which that on its own has a huge story but not worthy of blogging... and after months of waiting (9 to be exact!) our family was finally reunited on June 27th (awesome gift for Dadda!) and we moved to Kingston to catch up with Will:-)
Since then, we've been trying to get our new home in a photographable state... soon, we promise!
One of the most recent things that pushed me back into blogging was the unfortunate death of our camera... we will miss our Oly (if we can fix it, it'll be an excellent back up), but we mourned for about 1/2 a second, and then went out and bought a beautiful Digital SLR (a Canon!) that I am just over the moon with. What a fun toy!

So here are some pics with our new camera (and by the way, Tristan is growing far too quickly! But he's just as beautiful and energetic as ever! AND he seems to have his Mama's attitude... Oh oh!)
So I picked the FEW pictures we took recently... here's the first set... our outing to the Papanak Park Zoo! We made a trip to spend the weekend with the Abuelos and a great day looking at lots of animals with cousin Mary (aka - May-ee to Tristan) and her parents...
Here we are on the way to Ottawa... this is him having woken up from his nap... how lucky are we to get such a smile!

Even showing us his "grumpy" face he can't help but smile!
On the way to the zoo... Tristan and his Abba (Marcy's mom) got hungry and had a snack... baby feet! (Or I guess toddler feet! Extra flavour!)

Because Abba was trying to get to one foot (you can see her arm here)... Tristan decided to munch on his leg instead! I think he'd eaten enough of his foot already!
Setting up for a scary, scary sound of a Tristanosaurus
RRRROOOOAAAARRRR!
(He loves dinosaurs... and pretty much anything that roars... the animals at the zoo were in for a scare!)
"Hee hee... I'm so funny! I can't believe I scared Abba! She's so silly!"
And at the zoo...
We saw a baby goat
and a donkey...
And a bunny rabbit.... No wait. That's Tristan! Well, he's making a bunny noise anyway (he did see bunnies. But he was much cuter to photograph)
Looking fabulous in his rain coat...
And finding a puddle (the first of many!) to jump in! Although the funny thing is that Tristan has definintely inherited his Mama's and Dadda's neurotic gene with getting dirty... about halfway through our tour of the zoo, and trekking through some serious puddles, Tristan realized his feet were wet, and freaked! He had to have his shoes taken off, feet wiped clean, AND have his shoes cleaned on the inside AND outside (hurray for me cloth wipes, or else I wouldn't have had anything!) and even then (I guess he didn't trust Mama's cleaning job) wouldn't put his shoes back on and stayed in his stroller for a while (it wasn't until Mary went to the play area that he reconsidered his shoeless situation!) What an absolutely crazy, crazy sweetheart of a child :-)
And we saw LIONS....

And TIGERS
And BEARS... OH MY!

After photographing some coyotes, I came upon the cutest scene!
It was May-ee poking Tristan's belly! (In her defense, when he lifts up his shirt and bumps you with his belly, it's hard to resist that belly button!)
She got bored after a while but Tristan was obviously not done with the belly poking...

Mary decided to poke her own belly button, so Tristan belly bumped her as he wanted more!
Awww... Tristan trying to give a butterfly kiss... SO CUTE!
Tristan running... lots and lots of space for it!
The 'mokns'... which were actually apes (monkeys have tails!) having lunch... Tristan had a great time watching them and didn't want to leave! Not even to see the lions!
Bosworth is a big tough manly baboon... and walking by is one of his...umm... ladies...
Cutsey baboon baby! Uber cool moment when we saw the baby nursing, and I got to tell Tristan that the baby baboon was having milk from his Momma just like he does! Yup, I compared myself to a baboon. In public. With strangers within hearing range. Belive me, I've done worse

:-)
That's all for now... we've got more pics, but it's bed time for Mama!
Love,
Marcy, Will and Tristan :)
